Business Attraction & Site Selection ServicesTemple ED staff recognizes and appreciates the time-sensitive and confidential nature of business attraction projects and are responsive to the site selection team's needs. Staff serves as business ombudsmen to all clients and facilitates communication and development of new projects. Below are just a few of the ways the Temple EDC can assist with Business Attraction projects.
IncentivesThe City of Temple and the Temple EDC offer a wide variety of incentives. These could include but not limited to tax abatement, cash grants, low cost or free industrial sites and workforce development grants. Workforce DevelopmentTemple EDC works closely with the Central Texas Workforce Center and Temple College to provide customized training and continuing education for business and industry. More information can be obtained about our Labor Force, Wage & Salary and Employment data on pages located under Workforce. Between 800 and 1,000 soldiers separate from the military each month at Fort Hood, one of the largest military installations in the free world. These soldiers represent a constantly replenishing labor supply. Fort Hood has developed an ACAP Program (Army Career & Alumni Program) to assist employers in matching skills and job requirements. |
