TEDC Welcomes Marketing and Site Selection Industry Veterans Mary Poché and Judy HudsonTemple, TX-The Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) announced today that Mary Poché and Judy Hudson, two industry veterans, have been hired to fill marketing and consulting roles within the organization. Both come to the TEDC with years of experience and will focus on elevating the TEDC's profile on a national level. "Mary and Judy are a breath of fresh air, and their expertise will help us make strides on our path to becoming recognized as a go-to community for site selectors and companies seeking to relocate in Texas," Lee Peterson, president of the TEDC, said. Mary Poché joins the TEDC as Director of Marketing and is charged with overseeing all external marketing and public relations activities for the organization. An entrepreneurial driving force, Poché joined the TEDC after serving as Director of Marketing for Legiant, Inc., and prior to that position as General Manager/Marketing Manager for T.H.E. Design, Inc. A Certified Business Broker, Poché was instrumental in creating the Workforce Productivity Technology Council. Poché is committed to shepherding the TEDC into a position of national prominence by working with potential companies and businesses that seek out Temple for location or relocation. Her role will also be to work at retaining existing businesses and supporting any expansion plans, leveraging ongoing relationships with businesses to aid in reaching company goals, all the while reinforcing the TEDC brand identity with target audiences. Poché has a B.S. in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin. Judy Hudson joins the TEDC as a consultant specializing in expanding the organization's relationships with site selectors. Hudson had a long career with TXU Electric Delivery in Dallas, serving in several professional and management positions. Most recently, and prior to accepting early retirement from TXU, she served 10 years as a Sr. Economic Development Project Manager in the company's Corporate Economic Development organization. In that role, she actively marketed the TXU service area, which covered one-third of the state of Texas, and aided site consultants and individual companies by assembling and analyzing information on prospective communities and facilitating all aspects of site visits. While working in this capacity, she earned the CEcD certification from the International Economic Development Council. Hudson is a graduate of Louisiana State University and the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma; she also completed the Graduate Marketing Certificate Program at the SMU Cox School of Business.
