Forbes Lists Temple as One of the Best Cities for Jobs

Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood raced 34 slots up the list since last year's ranking. Employment in this region is diversified across many sectors, although the government provided 35.6% of 2008 jobs, marking a growth rate of 5.8% over 2007 levels. Education and health, which account for 14.3% of the region's jobs, grew 9.3% in 2008. Leisure and hospitality is another promising sector, with longer-term growth of 22.9% documented in that area since 2003.
