Lee Peterson

petersonLee Peterson joined the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) as President in December 2005, bringing with him years of experience in economic development. In late 2007, Peterson was directly involved in bringing in two of the most comprehensive projects the City of Temple has seen. In November, Gulf States Toyota announced its intent to build a regional Vehicle Processing Center (VPC), while in December, Panda Energy announced plans for a natural gas-fired power plant. Peterson spent the first 40 years of his life in Idaho, where he was involved in production agriculture along with a variety of both elected official responsibilities, such as County Commissioner, and volunteer efforts in support of economic development and job creation.In 1988, he attended Industrial Development courses at the University of Portland and the University of Oklahoma. In October of 1988, Peterson began his career as an economic development professional for the Chadron-Dawes County Economic Development Corporation in Nebraska. He was directly involved with the creation of 200 new jobs in the Chadron-Dawes area from then until December 1990.

Jonathan Scott

scottJonathan Scott has been with the Temple (TX) Economic Development Corporation since August, 2006. He serves the corporation as the Director of Business Development and is responsible for the management of proposal development and the recruitment of new businesses to Temple. Scott is an integral member of the team that successfully recruited Gulf States Toyota and Panda Energy to Temple in late 2007. These two projects will represent an investment in excess of $700 million and the creation of more than 500 new jobs when the facilities are completed. Scott has been an economic development professional for 14 years. He started his career in 1994 as an intern with the Minot State University - Business and Community Assistance Center. He was hired by the Mountrail County Job Development Authority in 1995 and served as the Economic Development Director for Mountrail County until 2000. Scott's major successes in this position included the creation of the Mountrail County Investment Fund, construction of the Parshall Parkside Apartments, development of West Dakota Feed and Seed, and the successful initiation of a large-scale dairy and wind energy project.

Perry T. Cloud

Cloud is the President at family-owned Cloud Construction Company whose roots date back to 1914. Son of William P. Cloud, Perry grew up in the construction industry and represents the third generation in the firm. In his role he is responsible for banking, bonding, legal, and accounting.

Monica Poole

Monica Poole is the Staff Accountant/Office Administrator. Ms. Poole joined TEDC, in May 2009, after serving as a Financial Analyst and Contract Administrator in the field of government contracting. She has worked in the field of finance/accounting for over 15 years.

Ms. Poole is responsible for overseeing the corporation's finances to include the annual budget. This includes and office management duties. She also coordinates the quarterly Plant Managers Meeting, Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon and other special events.

Monica has a B.B.A. from Tarleton State University, with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance.

 

 

Cynthia Jackson

jacksonCynthia Jackson, executive assistant to the president, provides support to the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) president and board of directors, and works alongside the marketing director and business development director to organize trade shows, conferences, meetings and workshops. In addition, she assists with project proposals and site visits. With a legal background and experience in real estate and banking, Jackson also serves as records management officer and coordinates real estate transactions for TEDC projects.

Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith has been providing valued support to the Temple Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) and Temple College since August 2006. He has a co-sponsored position as the Director of Workforce Development, with his office located at the Temple College Downtown Center. In this position, Smith provides new and existing businesses with consultation services, training, and grant opportunities for workforce development.
