TEMPLE, Texas—The Temple Economic Development Corporation (Temple EDC) today announced that the Temple City Council approved a resolution at the May 16 regular meeting to nominate McLane Company, Inc., as an Enterprise Project for participation in the Texas Enterprise Zone program. The Texas Enterprise Zone is an economic development tool for local communities to partner with the State of Texas to promote job creation and capital investment.

Expansion will double the size of the Panda Temple plant to 1,516 megawatts. The Plant expected to contribute an additional $1.6 billion to area economy and create 700-800 jobs. Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse arranged debt financing; Ares Capital was the documentation agent Bechtel and Siemens Energy consortium to build plant.
